Kung Fu Hands

Well, I've been neglecting this blog since it just seems to be providing fodder for spammers and I'm not motivated to do much about it. I'm excited about this one though, so I thought I'd jump back in.  This is my first non-commissioned painting in a while.  While I enjoy painting portraits, it's always refreshing to paint something for myself.  I've been training Ving Tsun (aka Wing Chun) kung fu for about a year and love it.  I've always liked paintings that show movement so I thought kung fu would make a nice subject.  I'm still playing around with underpaintings and this one started off hot pink and I like the little bits that show through.

I don't train Wing Chun but I have a book on it, thought that's what this one looked like even in the thumbnail. Very good, nice dynamic. Conveys the look of that practice well.

And hey, I hate to suggest it('cause it strains my old eyeballs;-), but all you gotta do to weed out the spammers is click the right box on your settings page, make us "prove you're not a robot." Or, like I do, for posts older than 30 days all comments are subject to approval by me before publishing. I hardly ever get spam.
Don't let 'em win. We want you in the blogosphere!

Thanks, A! Yeah, I haven't been motivated to do anything about all the spam so I needed a nudge, appreciate you checking in.
