Zoe

This one presented a challenge because I've always avoided painting teeth. If you look back, most of my subjects have closed mouths. If they do have teeth, they are very suggested. My artist friends tell me baby teeth are particularly difficult. I'm happy with how they turned out and now I'm not so scared of painting teeth, so thanks, Zoe!

You have been busy girl! I just adore the work you are doing with these childrens. They are very fresh. I love the gaze in Ruby's eyes.

Thanks, Sandra! I'm a little awestruck when I get comments from you. I really admire your portraits so it blows my mind that you appreciate mine.

There are all kinds of portrait paintings. My work has a more finished quality where as yours has a much more raw and free quality which I like!

our artist friend that did my portrait also said the same thing. My husband had to go through hundreds of pictures before finding one that I did not smile. I smile in ALL my pictures. It was a strange feeling to see your portrait and without a smile but I love it. It was a surprise Christmas present. I love Zoe's portrait, it turned out really good.
